Kelli & Robbie – Go Conolly!

Friday, February 13th, 2009

Kelli & Robbie are getting married in California. But they live in the South and decided to have their engagement photos done in Charlotte, because it’s sooo much nicer here (JK!!). This Sunday was engagement session craze anyway (3 in a row …) so I was warmed up and ready.

These two are amazing! They turned every little spot in the Queen City into an ad-worthy location. And the light was just awesome—you couldn’t ask for any better.

Stopping in front of Conolly’s on 5th, an Irish pub was a must: Conolly is Robbie’s last name. I want a restaurant with my name too!!

Jessica & Seth – A Tux for every Dress

Tuesday, February 10th, 2009

What do you get if you put a hot looking couple, several awesome dresses, a tux and some great locations together? Well, see for yourself!

I do encourage couples to bring stuff for at least one change of clothes. For this session Jessica took it pretty seriously: she brought so many different dresses, shoes and jewelry that we had to engage one of the luggage trolleys! Seth said: “I have an outfit for each and every of her dresses” – and put on his tux … Go Seth!

Jessica’s mom was there to help with everything and we appointed her Chief Stylist. The couple was so sparkling and natural in front of the camera what a fun shoot!

Annabet & Jay – out on the Plantation

Friday, February 6th, 2009

Annabet visited me at our Bridal Showcase booth where she also told me that Jay really likes the outdoors. So we planned on an engagement shoot at one of the really amazing outdoors places, not much more than 25 minutes from Charlotte: The Historic Latta Plantation in Huntersville, NC. It is right by the Mountain Island Lake and definitely worth a visit!

When I got there I wanted to give Annabet a call and I didn’t trust my eyes when all the cell phone entries starting with “A” were gone ! Fortunately we ran into each other right after that, and we went taking photos right away.

It was chilly and windy but the two of them were brave. After all Annabet and Jay both love Triathlon—I take my hat off to that, it’s really nothing for the faint of heart and they are both in such great shape!

Last, we jumped some fences to get closer to the historic house and a beautiful old barn. We eventually got chased away since it was not yet opened for visitors, but it was all worth it!
