Trisha + Essex: F.U.N!

Monday, June 7th, 2010

This was a beautiful and colorful wedding at Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden. The predominant red was an awesome color to go with all the green there at the gardens.

Trisha and Essex are a super cute and fun couple and we just couldn’t stop taking photos. One of the really memorable moments at this wedding were the speeches which were full of tears and emotion!

The couple and I wanted to do something special for this wedding and we chose to do the coverage is in 16:9 wide format.

Two days later we also did a Day After session, which was a very nice and romantic lifestyle theme at the Ranson House in Huntersville in NC. You can find those photos on Critsey’s awesome new Blog.

St. Paul Munich – my photography published!

Saturday, June 5th, 2010

You might not know it, but a big part of my photography career was architectural photography. And I am happy to announce, that the book St. Paul in München (St. Paul in Munich) has just been released, featuring almost exclusively my photography.

St. Paul is a beautiful big church in Munich, Germany. Finished in 1906, it celebrated its 100th anniversary a few years ago. I accompanied St. Paul’s centennial and documented the beautiful architecture with all its details in the following years.

If you have ever been to the Oktoberfest in Munich, you have definitely seen St. Paul – it’s the church right beside the Oktoberfest. Maybe you have even been inside …

Here is a small image from the cover  (I have not yet received my copies, so I cannot yet post a larger image) and some impressions from this beautiful church.

Now you know why my church photos at your weddings always rock! ;-)
