Alicia + Chris on the Rooftops

Thursday, May 27th, 2010

I think Alicia, Chris and I clicked from the moment on we talked about their wedding. They are super fun and it didn’t take a second for them to get in “photo-mood”. They are so great in front of the camera.

We roamed through NoDa and also made it onto Salvador Deli’s roof top. What a cool view!

I am very excited for being their wedding photographer!

Traci + Mike … and a Little Friend

Friday, April 16th, 2010

It’s been a bit quiet around here. But don’t be fooled friends, we were busy! Our honeymoon was wonderful but right after we got back, we rolled up our sleeves and photographed like champs (we are, he he …).

So here is the first engagement session, Traci + Mike! We started at Amelie’s French Bakery, an incredibly cute place and their pastries are soo good! Next we went to Freedom Park where we met Traci’s mom who brought their cute little dog. Such a doll the puppy was!

In addition we paid tribute to their favorite team, the Cleveland Browns and Ohio University where they both went to. Stay tuned for more!

Tamela + Thomas – Handsome by Nature

Tuesday, March 9th, 2010

What happens when you put a gorgeous looking couple in an outstanding place like Charlotte’s Westin Hotel? Awesome looking pictures! An easy job for the photographer – just press the shutter.
Just kidding.
However, I have to say that I am so blessed by being able to photograph beautiful people all the time. And Tamela and Thomas are no exception here. They were absolutely natural posers! Everything fell in place and they had that … aesthetic look. And look at that cool red armchair! We love it! It’s part of some new furniture they have at the Westin and they did a great job there.
I have a feeling that T+T’s wedding will be remarkable.

Heather + Jonathan – Southern Elegance

Thursday, February 18th, 2010

Since I relocated to Charlotte, I learned to see and love this special kind of elegance that you only find here in the South. Heather and Jonathan are an extremely handsome couple and their engagement session portrayed exactly this kind of elegance.

What other location could be as grand as the Duke Mansion for this? We are so excited that they started doing weddings now! And not to forget: Jonathan also is an extremely talented designer at The Place for Flowers!

This all is very promising for their wedding!

Sarah & Scott – Red Wine and Golden Light

Monday, December 28th, 2009

While it’s cold outside, this engagement session will bring you the warm golden light of Fall!
When Sarah and Scott arrived at our house to meet up for their engagement pictures, they brought us a bottle of wonderful Valpolicella! We soon went out and bought a few more. It was so good. Thank you so much, guys!

We headed out towards the countryside on a stunning Fall afternoon – one of those where the light is just magic. We pulled over whenever we saw some nice spots and there were plenty. Finally we rounded up the shoot with some elegant pictures at a restaurant and downloaded the images right when we got back – we were so impatient. Wow what gorgeous couple! They pulled it off like it was second nature.

I can’t wait for their wedding at the Renaissance SouthPark in May!!

Julie & Brian Take Off

Wednesday, December 2nd, 2009

Critsey and I photographed Julie and Brian’s engagement session a while ago and we are flattered that other Charlotte photographers pick up and reproduce what we do so quickly!
Critsey made reminiscences to 007 in her blog post and I think she’s spot on. The two truly look as hot as Mr. Bond and his charming counterparts! The airplanes and the azure skies gave it that movie look.
Later on we changed locations to enjoy the fact that the fields still were in this enchanted warm fall mood.

Tracy & Jim – Red Sox meet Yankees

Friday, November 13th, 2009

Yes, they wear caps of two different teams – and love each other! And make no mistake: Tracy’s cap is the worn out one and Jim’s was all pristine ;-)

We wanted to get the nice fall mood that was in the air and it turned out to be a day that makes you think cinnamon, apples and hot tea. The two brought their adorable dog that enjoyed the park just as much. We rounded the shoot off with some uptown locations and when they changed clothes, Jim also switched watches – that’s style!

Tracy and Jim are such pleasant people, I am very much looking forward to photograph their wedding. Oh, and by the way: they have the killer-date: 10/10/10 …

Debbie & Collin – can you say “gorgeous”?

Tuesday, November 10th, 2009

“Countryside” was the plan. And it turned out amazing. Debbie and Collin not only are the sweetest couple, they are also absolutely gorgeous! The weather tried to compete by being a crystal clear fall day and every picture we got gave me the chills.

While I was checking the monitor on the back of my camera, it became clear to me what I wanted to do. This time I wanted to leave the images pretty much untouched. Some photographers seem to need heavy processing on all the photos they show. So for all those of you who always wanted to know whether the pictures I take look good without anything special done to them, here goes …
