Gravatars: Get your own!

Monday, July 7th, 2008

Gravatars (Globally Recogized Avatars) are little images that many of the current Blogs can show when you post a comment there.

I love seeing other people’s faces and I decided to have mine show up. Go to the comments section of this post to see how this looks.
And check if your blog can show Gravatars. It’s really cool! To get your own Gravatar, go to the Gravatar website.

Our Story in Carolina Bride

Monday, July 7th, 2008

Two wedding photographers getting married is worth a story for Carolina Bride Magazine.
Take a look! You can find it on p. 155 of the current July/September issue.

Critsey & Thomas in Carolina Bride 7-9/2008
In addition Critsey with her company Indigo Photography have this issue’s cover bride Kelly Davis, who married NFL player Thomas Davis of the Carolina Panthers.

Of course Critsey and I are very flattered! Thank you Carolina Bride!

When Wedding Photographers get married – Our Story

Thursday, July 3rd, 2008

Wedding photographers shoot weddings. And sometimes the bride and groom are wedding photographers:
Critsey and I both belong to an online forum for professional wedding photographers, the DWF. We met in Las Vegas at the DWF’s annual Convention in March 2007 while I still lived in Munich, Germany.

I am wearing glasses now!

Saturday, June 14th, 2008

Yes, I can see you now! (Just kidding!)

After wearing different kinds of contacts for years and never being happy with them, I went back to wearing glasses. The last thing I had were so-called Ortho-K contacts (= orthokeratology), these are lenses you wear during the night. They form the cornea and you have good vision during the day – without wearing them!

But the fun didn’t last  for ever and after about two years of Ortho-K the effect wore off and I also had problems with my eyes getting dry and irritated.

So here I am with my new Oakleys, trying to look at least half as good as my clients ;-)

We hope you like it as much as we do!

What a Show !

Monday, January 14th, 2008

The Bridal Showcase, Charlotte’s huge bridal show is just over and I am still pumped.

It was a great success and I am very flattered by so many wonderful comments on what we had on display, including our booth.

There was a vast amount of great vendors, and the show was packed the whole day long. First estimates show that it might have been the biggest Showcase ever!

Thank you for coming!

2008 – a new year and exciting news !

Tuesday, January 1st, 2008

A Happy New Year to all our clients, vendors and partners!

2008 will be an exciting year for us. The biggest news is that I have now permanently relocated to the United States (Charlotte, NC). So now we are active on two continents, as Nicolas will continue to cater to the European market.

As readers of our Blog know, I have worked in many different places in the States as well in many European countries. I want to bring a little bit of this international flair to each and every wedding or portrait that I do.

So just for the fun of it, from time to time I will post some images from the “Old Continent” to bring you this awesome smell of freshly brewed Espresso, the amber shine of Bavarian beer or a few tunes of Irish Folk music. Let’s start – you can surely guess the place …

Come back soon for more!

Engagement Sessions

Thursday, February 8th, 2007

Engagement Sessions or short e-sessions give you beautiful, relaxed images that can also be used to announce the engagement.

Another great thing about an e-session is that the couple get to meet and work with their photographer, they can find out how they get along with them and most likely will be much more relaxed during the photo shoot on their wedding day.

And finally: what better time is there to take photos then when you’re in love?

And who could show this better than Azhar & Shakib, a very cute couple we recently photograped in Germany?

Look at the examples on this Blog—you will love what you will get from me!
