Happy Anniversary Jessica & Bryan!

Today is the couple’s 1st anniversary and their wedding was truly memorable. Not only are the two so adorable, but they are also fun, fun, fun!
Their ceremony was at the Fountain of Life Lutheran Church in Kernersville, NC and the reception at the Magnolia Manor in Greensboro, NC.

All the best to the two of you and a wonderful year #2!

Off to Germany!

Monday, June 1st, 2009

It has been a while that I traveled across the Atlantic Ocean for a wedding. This time it’s going the other way: I will be in Munich, Germany for Werner and Alice’s wedding.
The two want lots of pictures showing the beautiful places, so get ready to see some great stuff from Good Old Germany!

Of course we will also take the opportunity to visit friends and family and then Critsey will head on to London and Paris for her Couture Boudoir Tour (I’m jealous!).
For me it’s back to the USA on June 11 for Kami and Adam’s wedding that I am really looking forward to.

Sissy & David – Romance and Party (with a capital “P”!)

Friday, May 29th, 2009

If you want the definition of gorgeous blue eyes – that’s Sissy. Really, her eyes are unbelievable. Together with her red hair and her beauty this made everybody speechless. What kind of a man gets to merry such a girl? Meet David! He’s a really cool dude and his guys backed him well during the photo shoot.
The wedding was at a little lake South-East of Charlotte and it was a beautiful setting. The crowd was great and everybody partied hard. No wonder with Split Second Sound on the turntables!

Emele & Eric rock the Boat

Monday, May 18th, 2009

The more details I got to know, the more I got excited about Emele and Eric’s wedding, but I wasn’t prepared for how gorgeous it really would be.
Arriving at St. Alban’s Episcopal Church in Davidson, I ran into Emilio, Emele’s dad. First I thought he had a bad foot because he wore sneakers, but soon I found out that all the guys wore Converses. Très cool!! But … Emele outshone them in her stunning Vera Wang dress!

The weather report was mixed and while I was taking the girls outside for photos, the sky got all black and we expected the worst. Well, it came. Right after we ran inside it poured down! Fortunately by the time the ceremony started it already got better.
After the ceremony we went to North Harbor Club to get on the boat that would take the newlyweds and the bridal party over to The Point Lake and Golf Club. Just in Time was the boat’s name and just in time we got there to cross Lake Norman to a gorgeous dusk.

On the other side many of the guests were out on the docks to greet the couple. After getting refreshments we took some beautiful pictures by the lake and then went inside where a stunningly decorated club awaited us. Carolyn Shepard Design Group did an outstanding job here!
After dinner the reception got pretty hot and the band In The Pocket got the party going strong. This was definitely a memorable event and planner Rebecca Farlow made it one of the top weddings I have photographed this season!

Emele and Eric said goodbye to all the guests and we got back on the boat once more where the two could wind down and get their mind on their honeymoon.

A Purple Flame in a Sea of Others

Monday, January 26th, 2009

The Bridal Showcase last Sunday was a great success, it might have even been the best ever!

Thank you to all those who stopped by our booth, we had great responses! Everybody loved our cute little photo boxes with mixed prints to dig into. And the little red album showcasing my Engagement Session entirely shot with a Cell Phone got praise a plenty.

Alas, the abundance of photographers was overwhelming for many visitors. Still we were picked out by couples–there were many, that came to the show to specifically see us! And once brides and grooms were browsing through the photo boxes and you could hear “this is awesome!”, “WOW, look at THIS!” and “Oh my God!”, it became clear that GG-IMAGES is different. And the right choice for many.

So what is it that makes us stand out?

DIFFERENT
My style is far from traditional. It is contemporary, edgy, funky, emotional. And there is a huge demand for this style!

PROFESSIONAL
Your wedding images  are incredibly important. They are once-in-a-lifetime photos and there is no chance to repeat. So you definitely want to trust a professional who knows their job! I have worked in so many different places from Europe to all across the States, and I have photographed in any conditions you could imagine. From rain to blazing summer sunlight, from dark night to storms. I always nail it.

FUN
If you’re fun, you want a photographer who is fun and who you get along with. I am happy to say that many of my clients became like friends. We had a great time at their wedding or any other occasion we took photos. And the pictures show it.

CREATIVE
This is 2009! The whole world surrounding us is blazing with creativity. Ads, TV, media, it’s all out there. And honestly, I can’t understand why so many photographers still only get you the same old same old. Yet creativity will never make me miss your precious moments.

RELAX!
You have stress enough in planning your big day and on the day of! I am always calm (may I say cool?), I don’t command people, nor do I overly pose them. You will look your best!

So make sure to book an appointment with me. Email me or give me a call at (704) 777-1615 or toll free at 1 (800) 361-3520 and see what I can do for YOU!
In the meanwhile scroll down and browse through my recent work. There’s a LOT great stuff!

Stephanie & Tyler – From Ohio to North Carolina to Maryland

Friday, November 28th, 2008

These two are on their way! While living in Ohio, Stephanie had to move to Charlotte for job reasons. Tyler didn’t want to let her go like that – and proposed to Stephanie!

Now Tyler came to Charlotte for their engagement photos and we went on the LYNX train and around downtown to take pictures wherever we landed. They are so much fun and have a blast coming up with crazy nicknames for each other…

Stephanie and Tyler will get married in Charlotte, but their next station is already planned: Maryland, where Tyler will go to grad school and get his masters in social work.

Ashley & John – Mountains & a Park

Friday, November 28th, 2008

John proposed to Ashley in the mountains. What was supposed to be a sunny day turned out to be rainy and John had to revise his plans. So back at the car he put their camera on self-timer and asked Ashley to close her eyes …

This lovely couple is heading far, both soon graduate at USC, Ashley majors in Elementary Education and John is double majoring in Finance and Real Estate.

They definitely have a love for the outdoors so we went to Freedom Park and this time it was the other way round: a gray and dark day turned into a mild and sunny afternoon!
